The NRUSA Academy Program
The NRUSA's Academy program is designed to be a stepping stone for players from
recreational soccer to Travel Soccer. The program offers four academy’s: U9
Girls, U9 Boys, U10 Girls and U10 Boys.
The Academy program provides training to players that are interested in
improving their soccer performance on the field and to lay the foundation to
improve as a player. The training is focused on the technical and tactically
demands of the game held in a positive environment. The focus of the academy is
on the individual player and not the team.
ACADEMY STRUCTURE
· Max 30 players per age group
· Coach to player ratio 1:10
· One Academy for all New River Valley areas-UNITED
· 9-10 Real games 15-18 total games per season.
· 2 tournaments per season
· Practice 90 mins long, twice per week Generally we play half of our games at
home and half away. Away games are normally no more than an hour away.
